Language exchange app.Find a language partnernear you.
Learn languages by meeting real people in your city. Practice speaking with native speakers who live nearby, not pen-pals 8 000 km away. Coffee tonight, a walk this Saturday, or an event next week.
On Android? Drop your email and we’ll tell you the day it ships.
How it works
Three taps from downloading to drinking coffee with someone new.

Step 01
Pick your languages
Tell TaalMeet which language you speak and which one you're learning. No essay, just a few taps.

Step 02
See partners near you
A map of your city shows real people. Sorted by distance and language compatibility, not by who paid most.

Step 03
Meet for coffee
Send a wave, suggest a café, agree on a time. TaalMeet is built around real meetups, not endless chat.

TaalMeet is a free language-exchange app, live now in Den Haag, Netherlands. It connects internationals learning Dutch with locals learning languages like English, Spanish, French, Arabic and German, and gets them meeting in real cafés, not chatting endlessly in app.
No. TaalMeet is friend-zone only. Profiles, prompts, and matches are designed around language exchange and meet-ups, not romance. We enforce it through reporting, fast moderation, and clear community guidelines.
Yes. The core experience (matching with people in Den Haag and joining meet-ups) will always be free. We'll add an optional premium tier later for convenience features like event boosts, advanced filters and host tools. That funds the moderation team.
At launch we focus on the languages most spoken in Den Haag: Dutch, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Turkish, Polish, Ukrainian, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, and dozens more. Den Haag is one of the most diverse cities in Europe, so almost every language pair has demand here.
Not at all. The app, profiles, and chat are in English. You can be a Dutch native, a complete beginner, or learning a third language entirely. The only requirement is wanting to meet people.
Yes. Every city is on the roadmap. We open city by city in the order their waitlists fill up: the more sign-ups your city has, the sooner we launch there. Den Haag goes first, then the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Leiden, Delft, Eindhoven), then Europe (Berlin, London, Paris, Barcelona, Stockholm, Brussels), then worldwide. Add your city to the waitlist and you'll be first in line.
In-app reporting and blocking, clear community guidelines, and moderation on every report we receive. We encourage meeting in public places, and we never share your exact location with other users. Photo verification and an opt-in women-only events track are both in development, and we will say so here the day they ship.
Yes. TaalMeet is built in the Netherlands, hosted in the EU, and fully GDPR-native. Your messages stay in Europe. We never sell your data.
Yes. TaalMeet is live in Den Haag and free to download on the iPhone App Store, with Android on the way. We open to the rest of the Netherlands next, then expand internationally based on waitlist demand. Add your email and your city above to be first in line in your area.
