How language exchange works in The Hague
A language exchange is two people teaching each other for free: you get a patient Dutch speaker, they get a patient speaker of your language, and nobody pays anyone. The app’s job is the matching and the logistics. The actual practice happens across a table in the city, which is the part every global chat app leaves out.

Who you’ll meet here
The Hague is one of the most international cities in the Netherlands: embassies, the courts and tribunals, Shell and the ministries, and a university campus in the centre. That gives the exchange an unusual shape. On one side, internationals who understand plenty of Dutch and never get to speak it, because everyone switches to English. On the other, Dutch locals who want Spanish, English or French practice with a real person instead of an app. The two groups want exactly what the other has.

Is it free?
